WT1190F: That’s the space junk colliding with Earth

The mysterious chunk of space junk known as WT1190F is set for a fiery collision with the earth tonight. It is expected to burn up 100 kilometers off the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Astronomers determined that the object is about 2 meters across with a very low density. They think it could be part of a discarded rocket, possibly dating back to the 1960s and ’70s Apollo era.
