A warm hug between Argentinean Vice President and Senate President Amado Boudou and Chinese Ambassador Yang Wanming serves as the prelude for the Senate and China’s official news agency Xinhua to sign an agreement of institutional cooperation Tuesday in Buenos Aires.

“Right now we have the highest level of partnership. We have a comprehensive strategic partnership that has to do with the possibility of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. ”

With the agreement, a mechanism is forged for both sides to exchange information and promote cross-cultural exchanges within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership established in July 2014 by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his counterpart Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
Ambassador Yang stresses that this protocol will especially help the Argentinean Senate to receive Xinhua’s news and information and expand their knowledge of China.
It is important to improve the mutual understanding, as both countries are emerging powers and members of the G20 and command growing influence in international affairs, he added.
Xinhua is the official news agency of China and one of the top five news agencies in the world.
Xinhua News Agency has 180 bureaus worldwide, with 22 in Latin America.
