The Chinese yuan slipped against the US dollar on Wednesday as demand for the greenback surged after the long Lunar New Year holiday. The People’s Bank of China set the midpoint rate at 6.5237 against the US dollar, that’s 0.16% weaker than the previous rate. Despite the decline, investors are expecting the yuan to remain stable in general in the near term.
