Zimbabweans on President Xi’s article on leading newspaper

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to start a two-day state visit to Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

It’s the first by a Chinese president to the African country since 1996.

In an article published by leading Zimbabwean newspapers prior to his arrival, Xi says he looks forward to having in-depth exchanges of views with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe to seek new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Xi’s article has drawn positive responses as many Zimbabweans believed that he struck a warm tone when talking about the long-standing friendship between the two nations.
