Japan warned that the latest comments from South Korea were damaging bilateral ties and eroding trust. Japan’s Trade Minister Hiroshige Seko described South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s explanations for the trade curbs as “regrettable” and “mistaken”, and that South Korea broke an agreement on what the two sides would disclose from their meeting last week.
